Itinerary

Day 01 : Zanzibar

Your Zanzibar tour starts today. You have the option of either flying directly to Zanzibar or you can take a ferry from Dar es Salaam. Regardless of what you choose, we’ll be waiting to meet and greet you once you arrive on the island. We’ll take you to your accommodation in Stone Town, help you settle in and the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

Day 02:  Stone town

Stone has a rich history and once served as an important stop on both the Slave and Spice Trade routes. We start things today with a visit to Changuu Island – once known as Prison Island – as it was originally planned to be a prison but instead became a quarantine facility for yellow fever epidemics. We’ll go on a short, guided tour of Changuu Island and you may see the giant land tortoises which reside here. If we have enough time, snorkelling around the island is also a possibility. Day 03: Spice Tour, Jozani Forest – Nungwi

Today we head to Nungwi Island, famed for the luxurious Nungwi Beach and our home for the next three nights. Along the way, we’ll stop for a Spice Tour and also explore the Jozani Forest, which was built to conserve the endangered Red Colobus monkeys, but be sure to also keep an eye out to spot the elusive duiker and a variety of bird and butterfly species.

Day 04:  Nungwi

You have a free day to simply enjoy Nungwi Beach. If you’re looking to enjoy some watersports, there’s plenty of options available: fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving and more.

Day 05: Nungwi

It’s more free time in Nungwi today – so if you couldn’t fit in everything you wanted to do yesterday, you have another chance today!.

Days 06: Stone Town

After a relaxing few days in Nungwi, we head back to Stone Town. You can book a few extra nights in Stone Town or leave the island via the seaport or ferry.
